☀️📖👉 Over the last couple of years I’ve been working on learning more about investing in stocks. What I’ve found is there are three major factors in successful investing. First, you have to pick a good company with a strong foundation. The foundation establishes a floor for your worst case scenario. It takes the “gambling” aspect out of the investment because there is some certainty that you won’t lose all your money. Second, you need to choose a company with legitimate growth potential. This means they have a good product, a hungry market, and a good system for distributing the product. A company with a bad product, a market that doesn’t need it, or a poor distribution system will struggle to show any real growth or return on investment. Third, you have to keep your our emotions in check and ride the storm. Even a strong company with legitimate growth potential can be subject to the ups and downs of the market. Having the emotional fortitude to stay invested during a market slump allows you to ride out the dips and realize the long-term benefits of your investment decision. Jesus modeled the same three factors when he invested his life in serving and saving us. He knew the foundation of the gospel was strong because it was built on his own word and love. Neither of which can ever fail. He knew the growth that would come when people received him and the Holy Spirit empowered their testimonies to grow the kingdom. Lastly, he kept his emotions in check through the dips and hardships of persecution, abandonment, and crucifixion. Because he stayed invested, we have the opportunity to share in his amazing inheritance. Jesus showed that investing our lives in the mission of the gospel is a powerful investment with an incredible return. When there’s a good investment in front of you, the only thing left to do is get your treasure into the market. Buy, buy, buy! Or suffer the regret of sitting on the sideline and missing the opportunity. Investing our lives into the mission of Jesus is the surest investment we can ever make. The incredible part is that every single deposit we make is counted and multiplied in heaven. the Bible tells us that many kingdom investors will be astonished to discover the return of their smallest investments. Jesus is watching and adding every good work of service to their account and ensuring their reward. As you go through your day, think about where you’re investing your time and energy. What return will it bring you? Short term dopamine or eternal treasure? If you’re already investing your life into the mission of Jesus, don’t be discouraged by temporary dips in the returns. Don’t give up. Keep investing, the foundation is strong, the lost are hungry, and the growth potential is ensured by the resurrection of Jesus himself! Here are a few verses to reflect on as you go through your day and choose where to invest your time and energy. 📖 Matthew 25:34-40 Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ 📖 Matthew 6:19-21 Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. 📖 Hebrews 12:2 Let us fix our eyes on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy set before Him endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God. 📖 Galatians 6:9 Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
