Updates on Our Parking Lot and Future Improvements
Are you as excited as we are for the new church parking lot? Here's a quick update on what's happening, when it's coming, and some more exciting improvements coming our way!
Parking Lot
We have received several bids on our parking lot and will be going with Alpha Paving. They are one of the areas top parking lot installers, so we can be sure they will do an excellent job with a quality installation.
Additional Spaces
You may not have realized this, but the property purchase included our building along with the buildings next to us. These include the Jail to Jobs house, boxing gym, sheds, and the home on the back of the property. Each of these spaces will eventually be used to expand our church outreach ministries. Here's how that will look:
Future Improvements
Timeline for the parking lot is set. All of our other future improvements will be dictated by our budget, but they are on the way! As we tackle each one there may be opportunities to serve on work teams to lower the cost of making these improvements. You can look for those opportunities to be announced on Sundays, on Facebook, and through our app.
Prayer is powerful and we saw God's miraculous response to our prayers during the purchasing process. Please continue to pray for these future updates to go smoothly and for the ministry God will be doing through all of these spaces. We believe God gave our church family the property and together we have an amzaing opportunity to steward it well and maximize its use to reach people for Jesus.
The last seven years have been incredible, and we are believing God has much more in store for us!

Parking Lot
We have received several bids on our parking lot and will be going with Alpha Paving. They are one of the areas top parking lot installers, so we can be sure they will do an excellent job with a quality installation.
- What they will be doing, is excavating all existing parking lot surfaces, replacing the base, and installing brand new asphalt. This will include our current parking areas and additional new parking over the grass area directly behind the church. I've attached a site map to show the plan.
- When we plan to have this done is sometime in January or February. There are a lot of logistics that go into getting a project of this size completed, so it takes time bring it all together.
- How will we do church while the parking is being replaced? Because of Alpha's expertise in the field, they will be able to do the complete replacement in four days. The project will be done during the week, and will not change our Sunday service times. You'll rumble out of an old parking lot on one Sunday, and roll smoothly back into a new one the following Sunday.

These include the Jail to Jobs house, boxing gym, sheds, and the home on the back of the property. Each of these spaces will eventually be used to expand our church outreach ministries. Here's how that will look:
- Jail to Jobs is currently looking for one large location to consolidate their 5 smaller locations. When they secure a new spot they will be moving out of the space on the front of the property. Once they are moved we will be moving our Foster & Adoption Closet ministry into the space. This will allow us to expand the ministry with more items for foster kids in need and family counseling.
- Boxing Gym has a 12-month lease back as part of our original agreement from 5 years ago. During that time they will be looking for a new permanent location for their facility. Once they move out we will be able to revamp the space and use it for church ministries including; youth nights, Kingdom Kids ministry to the fatherless, a fun space for our Sunday morning kids ministry, and some fun new community fitness outreach ministries.
- Back House is being vacated by the current tenant and will require some renovations to get it back to a useable space. Once it's been updated we will be able to use it as an office space rental bringing in income to support our many church ministries.
Future Improvements
- Church Kitchen will be coming soon! The Jail to Jobs space has a commercial kitchen which we will revamp for church use once they have moved to their new facility.
- Flooring in our church is long overdue for being replaced. We will be looking into updating our flooring throughout the building.
- Painting the interior and exteriors of all our buildings is also on our futures list. Painting will include maintenance repairs and cleanups on the exterior and interior walls, ceilings, and trim areas. The goal is to have all of the buildings clean, well maintained, and matching. We want the entire church buildings to look like one cohesive and well cared for property.
- Interior Spaces will be undergoing some minor renovations to open up our tight welcome area, and to make handicap and family bathrooms more accessible.
- Landscape & Fencing will also be getting a makeover. Old fencing will be removed or replaced all around the property. Landscaping will also be updated to give us a more appealing and inviting grounds with areas for fellowship before and after service.
