Volunteers Needed
Join us this Saturday to partner with, Love-Serve-Feed, in a Disaster Relief Outing to the residents of Shady River RV Park in Georgetown, TX (pictured in photo).
IMPORTANT DETAILS BELOW:
When & Where
Saturday July 12th 9:30am-12:00pm
Shady River RV Park: 7450 E St. HWY 29, Georgetown
Why Shady River RV
They are in great need of help and The Beat Church has direct connections with residents through Robert Hall's, Kingdom Kids, ministry. So it's a great opportunity for us to continue to serve their needs.
The Greatest Need
The site-coordinator said the people there are scared and grieving. They need help with more than cleanup, they need Jesus’ love big time. Pray and prepare for opportunities to share Jesus with them. This is an incredible opportunity to Love God, Love People, and Live Like We Mean It.
What We'll Be Doing
Shoveling mud, moving debris, cutting fallen trees, cleaning RVs, and offering encouragement to residents.
What to Wear
Clothes that can get muddy, close-toed boots or shoes that can get muddy, and gloves for your hands.
Tools to Bring
Bring any tools you have: shovels, rakes, saws, chainsaws, wheelbarrows etc. Make sure to mark them, so they go home with you.
Donations to Bring
The residents are in need of bottled water, canned or boxed food, and good clothing. Many lost everything in the flood.
Can Kids Come?
Older kids who can help work are welcome. However, this is a clean-up area, so it is not safe for small kids, and there will be no childcare. Please leave small children at home.
Food and Drinks
We will be grilling hot dogs and providing water for residents and volunteers. Feel free to bring anything else you need to stay hydrated.
Parking
Parking may be challenging, so feel free to carpool if possible. We look forward to seeing you there!
