What to Expect
At Our Community Groups
Purpose
are as unique as the people who make them up. We encourage each Community Group to gather for fun, faith, and friendship. The purpose of these gatherings is to grow together in three areas: Loving God, Loving People, and Living Like We Mean It.
Friendship
Deep friendships are built through shared experiences. In a Community Group you will share many experiences including; food, games, outdoor adventures, Bible study, ministry, and community outreach. Over time you will develop deep friendships with people who will love you deeply and encourage you to pursue your God-given destiny.
Discipleship
Each Community Group is led by a Community Group Pastor and filled with fellow seekers and believers who are committed to supporting each other in growing closer to Jesus and reflect His will by Loving God, Loving People, and Living Like We Mean It.
Outreach
The Bible calls us to go into the world and reach lost and broken people with the message of the gospel.
Community Groups are uniquely positioned to reach their local neighborhoods. Every Community Group is encouraged to use their unique creativity to love their neighbors and grow God's family.

Who Can Participate
Community Groups are for everyone.
Our current culture talks about diversity but actually follows a model of segregation. People are divided into groups based on age, race, gender, class, and interests.
Jesus was the great uniter bringing all people together around his message of repentance, forgiveness, love, and grace.
Our Community Groups are an extension of the unifying life of Jesus. We invite all ages and types of people to gather together around the common experience of new life in Jesus.

The Biblical Model
of Meeting In Homes
Philemon 1:2 ESV
And Apphia our sister and Archippus our fellow soldier, and the church in your house:
Acts 2:46 ESV
And day by day, attending the temple together and breaking bread in their homes, they received their food with glad and generous hearts,
1 Corinthians 16:19 ESV
The churches of Asia send you greetings. Aquila and Prisca, together with the church in their house, send you hearty greetings in the Lord.
Colossians 4:15 ESV
Give my greetings to the brothers at Laodicea, and to Nympha and the church in her house.
Acts 20:20 ESV
How I did not shrink from declaring to you anything that was profitable, and teaching you in public and from house to house,
Acts 5:42 ESV
And every day, in the temple and from house to house, they did not cease teaching and preaching Jesus as the Christ.
Romans 16:5 ESV
Greet also the church in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in Asia.
Romans 16:1-27 ESV
I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant of the church at Cenchreae, that you may welcome her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints, and help her in whatever she may need from you, for she has been a patron of many and of myself as well. Greet Prisca and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus, who risked their necks for my life, to whom not only I give thanks but all the churches of the Gentiles give thanks as well. Greet also the church in their house. Greet my beloved Epaenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in Asia. ...
Acts 2:2 ESV
And suddenly there came from heaven a sound like a mighty rushing wind, and it filled the entire house where they were sitting.
Matthew 18:20 ESV
For where two or three are gathered in my name, there am I among them.”
